Our founding partner, Dato’ Choong Phooi Ying (or PY as he is fondly known) has over the last 32 years, been and still is primarily engaged in corporate, banking and conveyancing work as well as selective civil and commercial litigation.

He is involved in preparing a wide range of corporate agreements as well as in initial public offerings, acquisitions, mergers and takeover of public listed companies. He also handles loan documentation, property and share sale transactions involving substantial amounts as well as provides corporate cum legal advice to large local and international corporations both in Malaysia and abroad.

As part of his involvement in selective civil and commercial litigation, he has focused on injunctions and other complex legal issues as well as on legal strategy and planning.

Dato’ Choong Phooi Ying is also an active social worker, having been a Rotarian for over 25 years and is well-known in social circles.
